Ex-Speaker Fuentebella passes away; he was 74

Former Speaker Arnulfo "Noli" Fuentebella passed away on Wednesday morning.

His son, Camarines Sur 4th District Representative Arnie Fuentebella, confirmed the news in a post on his Facebook page.

"With deep sorrow, we would like to inform our family and friends that Former Speaker Arnulfo 'Noli' P. Fuentebella has passed away this morning, September 9, 2020," the younger Fuentebella said.

According to Arnie, his father died of heart failure after battling kidney disease for almost two years.

He has yet to share details for the necrological services for his father.

Arnulfo served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2000 to 2001.

Apart from being Speaker, he also represented the third district of Camarines Sur from 1992 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2010, and eventually the fourth district of the same province from 2010 to 2013 and from 2016 to 2019. —LBG, GMA News
