Cavite Rep. Jon-Jon Ferrer tests positive for COVID-19
Cavite Representative Luis "Jon-Jon" Ferrer IV tested positive for COVID-19.
Ferrer informed the public of his condition in a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
According to Ferrer, his doctor informed him on Saturday night that he tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing swab testing.
The representative revealed that he had flu-like symptoms the past few days, prompting him to isolate himself and undergo testing.
Ferrer said he is currently confined to a medical facility. His district office will be temporarily closed to the public.
Ferrer is the seventh member of the House of Representatives who contracted COVID-19, the others being Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman and Johnny Pimentel, Bulacan Representative Henry Villarica, Sulu Representative Samier Tan, and Senior Citizens party-list Representative Francisco Datol Jr.
