12 senators score perfect attendance during 18th Congress' first regular session

Twelve senators of the 18th Congress were never absent during the first regular session, which ran from July 22, 2019 to June 4, 2020, based on records from the upper chamber's Legislative Journal Service.

The 12 senators with perfect attendance were:

  • Senate President Vicente Sotto III,
  • Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri,
  • Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon,
  • Senator Sonny Angara,
  • Senator Nancy Binay,
  • Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa,
  • Senator Sherwin Gatchalian,
  • Senator Christopher "Bong" Go,
  • Senator Risa Hontiveros,
  • Senator Lito Lapid,
  • Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., and
  • Senator Joel Villanueva.

Despite never being marked as absent, Angara, Go, Lapid, and Revilla were not always virtually present in session because they had to attend to some official missions.

Senator Leila De Lima, detained in Camp Crame, was not able to attend any of the 67 plenary sessions.

Others had four or less absences.

Lapid had the most number of official missions during the period, attending to two local and six abroad.

Sotto, Zubiri, Revilla, and Senator Panfilo Lacson did not miss any roll call during the entire first regular session.
