Cardema back as NYC Commissioner —DILG spox

Ronald Cardema is back as commissioner of the National Youth Commission, the spokesman of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirmed on Monday.

"Yes, he's back but as commissioner of the NYC," Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya told GMA News Online.

The NYC is under the DILG, according to Malaya.

In 2019, Cardema was disqualified as nominee of the Duterte Youth party-list for being overage at the age of 34 during the May polls.

Cardema had also withdrawn his nomination to prompt the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to declare the said party-list as one of the winners in last year's poll. — BM, GMA News
