BRP Gabriela Silang returns to Manila after transporting LSIs to Davao, GenSan

The BRP Gabriela Silang on Tuesday returned to Manila after bringing home a total of 148 locally stranded individuals in Mindanao.

According to a report on “24 Oras News Alert,” Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Captain Armand Balilo said 89 of the LSIs were transported back to Davao City, while 59 were sent home to General Santos City.

Balilo said the LSIs were welcomed by the respective local government units.

The BRP Gabriela Silang will bring home more LSIs to their respective provinces in Visayas and Mindanao in the coming days. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
