BRP Davao del Sur departs Manila to transport over 400 LSIs to Iloilo, medical supplies to Cebu

Philippine Navy vessel BRP Davao del Sur (LD 602) departed Manila on Monday morning to ferry locally stranded individuals and transport medical supplies and personal protective equipment to the ports of Iloilo and Cebu.

According to the Navy, a total of 402 LSIs and three repatriates from India and Sri Lanka, all bound for Iloilo, were onboard the vessel.

The LSIs are allowed to disembark at the port of Iloilo because Cebu City temporarily banned the entry of the LSIs as enhanced community quarantine is being enforced in the area.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,508 boxes of PPEs and medical supplies will be delivered to the Office of Civil Defense in Cebu. These will be used by frontliners in the region.
