Cayetano visits teams affected by SEA Games inconveniences
Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) Chair and House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano on Sunday night visited the foreign delegations who suffered transportation, food, practice and hotel inconveniences upon their arrival in the country for the Games.
Blaring the words "ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL," a post by the 2019 SEA Games official Facebook page said Cayetano apologized to the teams from Timor Leste, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Brunei.
The post also said Cayetano assured the teams that "that the Philippine hosting will be great and meaningful for everyone."
Earlier on Sunday, PHISGOC apologized for the inconvenience and delays the teams experienced upon their arrival.
"While PHISGOC strives to ensure proper coordination of the arrival details, airport welcome and transportation provisions of all international teams to their respective assigned hotels, we acknowledge our shortcomings in this particular incident and vow to do better," Cayetano said.
The polo event already started on Sunday while the football matches will start on Monday.
