Duterte, Misuari meet to discuss 'peace committee'

President Rodrigo Duterte and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founder Nur Misuari discussed the creation of a peace committee at the Malacañang Palace on Monday evening, according to Senator Bong Go.

Go said the two leaders talked about the creation of peace coordinating committee between the Government of the Philippines and the MNLF.

The meeting took place before the President visited the wake of John Gokongwei Jr. and Lucio "Bong" Tan, Jr.

The next meeting would be held in Davao city next month, Go added. — BAP, GMA News
