Sorsogon bags Guinness World Record with traditional Bicolano dance
Sorsogon bagged the Guinness World Record for the largest Filipino folk dance with its Pantomina sa Tinampo performance as they celebrated the province's 125th year founding year.
According to the Department of Tourism, a total of 7,127 dancers performed at the Rompeolas baywalk for the 2019 Kasanggayahan Festival.
The performance, a traditional Bicolano dance of love and courtship, concluded the month-long festival of the province.
Sorsogon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero and wife, Heart Evangelista, received the award.
Both Escudero and Evangelista took to Twitter to express their happiness and pride over the award.
