Two police generals assigned to new posts in PNP hierarchy

Two police generals on Tuesday received new designations in the Philippine National Police (PNP) days after PNP officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa announced a revamp in the police organization.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Gamboa said Police Brigadier General Rolando Anduyan was named the acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10, replacing Police Brigadier General Rafael Santiago.

Police Colonel Danilo Pepino Macerin was installed as the acting Chief Regional Staff of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Gamboa on October 21 announced that all key positions in the PNP were under probation while all promotions were on hold as the organization undergoes reforms.

“This move sustains our campaign to reform the entire organization, as well as our drive against illegal drugs, criminality, and lawless violence,” Gamboa said. —Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
