Darwin unresponsive, had zero heart rate when rushed to PMA hospital
Cadet Fourth Class Darwin Dormitorio was unconcious, unresponsive and no longer had vital signs when he was rushed to the Philippine Military Academy hospital in the wee hours of September 18.
According to Marisol Abdurahman's report on "24 Oras", a copy of his medical certificate obtained by GMA News showed that he had zero blood pressure, zero heart and respiratory rates.
Dormitorio's eyes no longer moved. His lips and nails were also already blue.
He was given cardio-pulmonary resuscitation but was declared dead at 5:15 a.m.
The diagnosis was cardiopulmonary arrest probably secondary to blunt thoracoabdominal injury probably to mauling.
Dormitorio's chest, stomach, side and back all had bruises.
The document was signed by the Captain Flor Apple Apostol, the medical officer on duty at the Fort Del Pilar Station Hospital at that time.
Apostol was one of the hospital officers who were relieved from their position due to Dormitorio's fatal hazing.
It was also Apostol who examined Dormitorio a day before he died, the time when he was diagnosed with urinary tract infection and was told to return to the barracks. —NB, GMA News
