Completing the 15-person tribunal, Inting occupies the associate justice post vacated by Lucas Bersamin when he was appointed chief justice last November.

His appointment paper indicates he was named to the post as early as Feb. 22 --- within the 90-day period the president is required to fill a vacancy in the SC -- but the development was announced only last Monday.
The Davao del Sur-born justice had been with the appeals court since 2012, prior to which he served as Quezon City regional trial court judge, a municipal trial court judge, a public attorney, and a prosecutor.
He is the brother of former CA justice and now-Commission on Elections commissioner Socorro Inting.
He is President Rodrigo Duterte's ninth appointee to the SC associate justice's post, and the 11th so far when the count includes the appointments of Teresita Leonardo-De Castro and Bersamin as chief justice. — MDM, GMA News
