VP Robredo: ‘Hindi pa tapos ang bilangan, kailangan pang bantayan’

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday encouraged the opposition senatorial bets Otso Diretso and their supporters to remain committed despite the current inadequate number of votes earned for them to win a spot in the Senate.

“May laban pa tayong hinaharap. Hindi pa tapos ang bilangan, at kailangan pang bantayan,” Robredo said in a Facebook post.

She said the exhausting campaign period and Election Day were all worth it because they have stood to their principles and beliefs.

Robredo commended their candidates and volunteers for showing dedication in reaching their goal.

“Huwag natin ito bitawan. Paghugutan natin ng lakas ang bawat isa. Marami pa tayong kailangan gawin at marami pa tayong magagawa,” Robredo said.

“Hanggang sa huli, sama-sama tayo sa labang ito,” she added.

As of posting time, all Otso Diretso bets fell outside the top 12 spots in the senatorial race based on the unofficial and partial elections result coming from the Comelec transparency server.  — RSJ, GMA News
