Palace on resigned OWWA exec Arnell Ignacio: We wish him luck

Malacañang on Wednesday thanked resigned Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio for his services to the nation.

Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Ignacio “has proven his competence in public service” in his post, as well as during his stint at the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as assistant vice president for community relations and services.

“He has intimated his desire to pursue other endeavours. We wish him luck to a new path he will traverse,” Panelo said.

“While the President has yet to formally accept Mr. Ignacio's resignation, we recognize as well as thank him for his contributions to the Filipino people,” he said.

According to Panelo, Ignacio has “signified his intention to leave public service for personal reasons” but the former television host and comedian declined to give one when asked by GMA News on Tuesday. — BM, GMA News
