284 new members of PNP-SAF take oath
A total of 284 Special Action Force (SAF) recruits had their oath-taking and reception ceremonies at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City on Tuesday.
According to a report by Mariz Umali on GMA News TV's Balitanghali, the total number consists of 112 men and 172 women who will undergo training in fighting high-profile crimes.
The batch had the highest number of female cadets.
This batch also completes the five battalions of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force.
SAF director Chief Superintendent Amando Empiso reminded the new SAF recruits that their training will be difficult, adding that it will test their patience and personality.
Empiso called on the families of the new SAF recruits to continue supporting the commandos.
After the reception rites, the new SAF recruits will be turned over to the Regional Training Center in Magalang, Pampanga wherein they will stay for six months for their public safety recruit course. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
