Ex-DILG chief completes Duterte’s Senate slate

Former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Raffy Alunan III rounded out President Rodrigo's list of the 12 senatorial candidates he is endorsing for the upcoming May polls.

This was confirmed by reelectionist and former Senate President Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III to GMA News Online.

“ Alunan is 12th on [Duterte's] list. They are friends and bilib si [President] kay Alunan," Pimentel said.

On February 14, Duterte formally endorsed his 11 senatorial bets for the upcoming polls: five from his ruiling party PDP-Laban and six guest candidates.

Apart from Pimentel and Alunan, the 10 others bets being endorsed by the President are:

• former PNP chief Ronald Dela Rosa
• former SAP Christopher “Bong” Go
• Maguindanao Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu,
• former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino
• Sen. JV Ejercito
• Sen. Sonny Angara
• Sen. Cynthia Villar
• Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano
• Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos
• musician Freddie Aguilar
