Boga most common cause of firecracker-related injuries, says DOH chief

The firecracker known as boga is the top cause of injuries related to firecracker use this year so far, the Department of Health said Monday.

“Unang-una dyan yung boga,” Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said in an interview on QRT.

A boga is an improvised cannon made with a PVC pipe.

“Pangalawa diyan ang trianggulo. Ang pangatlo naman ay yung kwitis. Ang pangapat ang piccolo,” Duque added.

The latest tally of firecracker victims from December 21 to December 31 is 55 so far. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
