Bong Revilla arrives at Sandiganbayan for promulgation

Former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr arrived at the Sandiganbayan for the promulgation of judgment on his plunder case in connection with the pork barrel scam.

Revilla, detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame for four years, was accompanied by his wife, Bacoor, Cavite Mayor Lani Mercado.

Revilla’s children, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo and Gianna were also present.

The Sandiganbayan's First Division is expected to rule on whether Revilla is guilty or not of plunder, a case that caused his detention since June 2014.

The Sandiganbayan will also decide on the fate of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles and Revilla’s former aide, lawyer Richard Cambe.

Revilla has been accused of amassing P224.5 million worth of ill-gotten wealth by channeling his Priority Development Assistant Fund, or pork barrel, to the fake foundations of Napoles from 2006 to 2010. —KBK, GMA News
