Imelda Marcos parties with Inday Sara, Arroyo on night of conviction

Former First Lady and incumbent Ilocos Norte Representative Imelda Marcos was seen partying with relatives and friends on the same day she was found guilty of graft by the Sandiganbayan.

Marcos attended the birthday celebration of her daughter Imee, together with brother Ferdinand "Bongbong" Jr, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, and House Speaker Gloria Arroyo.

In a Facebook post, Mike Acebedo Lopez said Marcos seemed "unperturbed" by the news that she was sentenced to a minimum of six years and one month to a maximum prison sentence of 11 years "for each count" of graft by the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division.

Marcos, who did not attend the promulgation, is also perpetually disqualified from holding public office. — MDM, GMA News
