Sotto administers oath to Lito Lapid, son Mark as new NPC members

Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III on Thursday administered the oath to former Senator Lito Lapid and his son, former Pampanga governor Mark Lapid, as new members of the Nationalist People's Coalition.

Sotto said Lito Lapid will run for senator in next year's elections while Mark will seek a mayoral post in Porac, Pampanga, both under NPC.

The elder Lapid's intention to run for senator was bared by Sotto as early as April this year. —KBK, GMA News
