Heavy rains flood Farmers Plaza mall, several parts of QC
Floodwaters entered Farmers Plaza in Cubao following the heavy downpour on Tuesday afternoon.
A video from Youscooper Ian Espanta showed the situation in the said establishment at around 3 p.m.
In a statement, the management of Farmers Plaza said the flood inside the mall was removed "within an hour after the heavy rains stopped."
"The very heavy mid-afternoon rains brought unexpected, unprecedented flooding inside our mall," the management statement read.
"The management immediately began dewatering operations to ensure resumption of normal operations for our lessees and mallgoers. The water was removed within an hour after heavy rains stopped," it added.
The EDSA-Cubao underpass was also flooded due to torrential rains as well as some areas outside the Farmers Plaza mall.

Meanwhile, the street leading to the Kamuning Market in Quezon City was also submerged in knee-deep floods due to the heavy rains.

Moreover, light vehicles can no longer pass along Timog Avenue corner Scout Tobias as the street was also flooded.

Heavy rains were also encountered in Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.

The downpour also caused zero visibility for vehicles traversing the EDSA Main Avenue in Cubao at past 2 in the afternoon.

Traffic along EDSA Centris also became heavy due to the sudden floods.
