Overnight rains flood parts of Manila and Bulacan
Parts of Manila as well as Meycauayan and Marilao in Bulacan were flooded as rains poured from Monday night up to early Tuesday, according to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday by Victoria Tulad.
MacArthur Highway in Meycauayan looked like a creek before dawn Tuesday.

A jeep stalled, forcing passengers to get off and wade through the flood.
Some gasoline stations were flooded as well.
Meanwhile, in Marilao, the flood on the Manila North Road reached gutter level before dawn Tuesday.
Motorists had to inch their way through the floodwaters.

In Manila, the corner of United Nations Avenue and Taft Avenue had gutter-deep flood after heavy rains poured at midnight.
Motorists had to slow down to traverse the road.
Heavy rains were observed at 2 a.m. over A. Mendoza Road, Quiapo, and Padre Burgos Street near the Manila City Hall.
Marikina, Antipolo, and Quezon City also experienced heavy rains intermittently.
PAGASA forecast moderate to occasional heavy rains on Tuesday over Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, Benguet, and the Ilocos provinces due to the southwest monsoon. —KG, GMA News
