LTO starts processing driver’s license renewal, vehicle registration online

The renewal of the driver's license and the motor vehicle registration may now be done online through the online portal of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the government announced Thursday.

In an interview on GMA's Unang Balita, LTO Management Information Division Chief Rector Antiga said at least four district offices of the LTO now allow the online renewal of the driver's license and motor vehicles.

"Pwede ka mamili kung anong araw, anong oras, at saan ka pupunta," Antiga said, noting that among the district offices which accept online processing are those in Pasig, Muntinlupa, and Novaliches.

Online processing may be done through the website www.lto.net.ph, where they will be given a form to accomplish.

Once motorists finish accomplishing the form and setting an appointment, they will then be required to process the application in person at the district office. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
