The prayer, posted on the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) website, was released on the eve of the start of the campaign period.
It sought Divine Providence for the "gift of discernment, so that we may wisely exercise the gift of suffrage."
In a report posted on the CBCP website, parishes are to start reciting the prayer on Sunday, May 6 until the eve of the elections, which is set on May 14.
The prayer is available in English, Tagalog and Cebuano translations.
