Duterte dances in intimate moment with ex-wife on her 70th birthday

President Rodrigo Duterte danced and shared intimate moments with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman, as she celebrated her 70th birthday on Saturday night.

Duterte attended the birthday celebration in Davao City, along with their children and friends.

In a video posted on Facebook by Davao City Information Officer Jefry Tupas, Duterte can be seen dancing with his ex-wife.

Duterte, in his message for Zimmerman, said he would still marry her if given another opportunity.

“Given another chance, another life, I would still marry Elizabeth. Because that is love," he was quoted as saying in another post on Facebook.

The president even sang the popular Filipino song "Ikaw" to his wife. The two also shared a kiss.

Zimmerman is the mother of three of Duterte's children —Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, former Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, and Sebastian.

The couple separated in 1998 and their marriage was annulled in 2000, but they have remained friends ever since. —Erwin Colcol/LBG, GMA News
