Duterte in Hong Kong for a meeting with OFWs

President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Hong Kong late Tuesday night following his attendance at a regional economic forum and bilateral meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in the province of Hainan in China.

The President’s chartered aircraft touched down at 11:34 p.m. at the Hong Kong International Airport, according to the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Duterte had no scheduled engagement on Wednesday, a day after his participation at the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan.

He is set to meet with around 2,500 Filipinos in Hong Kong before he leaves for Davao City on Thursday night.

On Monday, Duterte said he would report to the Filipino community on the developments in the country.

He also wished to listen to their concerns and hopes, stressing his commitment to support those who had left the Philippines to provide a better future for their families.
