During the wedding ceremony, the PNP chief gave the couples tips for a successful marriage, while also reminding them that police life is "not a bed of roses."
"Marami tayong pinagdadaanang hirap sa pagpapatupad ng ating tungkulin kaya naman lubos din ang aking paghanga sa misis ng ating mga police personnel dahil tanggap nila ang buhay ng kanilang mga asawa," Dela Rosa said.
He also said couples should learn how to balance and separate their work and married life, live within their means, and settle their problems before ending their day.
"Live within your means. 'Wag masyadong ma-inspire sa mga materyal na bagay," he said.
"Magpaka-ander da saya ka. Very successful ako sa aking pagiging ander da saya," he added.
Dela Rosa also reminded the newlyweds to always keep in mind that the marriage life should be a "two-way relationship."
"My wife, neber nakialam sa buhay ng aking career. Pinipilit ko lagi 'yan mag-attend," he said.
"A police officer who is happily married will be an effective public servant,"dela Rosa added. —KG, GMA News
