NHCP shows rare photo of Jose Rizal as a boy

A never-been-seen picture of Dr. Jose Rizal when he was 7 years old is now on public display for the commemoration of the 121st anniversary of the national hero's martyrdom.

In this photo taken on December 29, 2017—the eve of Rizal Day—Bryan Anthony Paraiso, supervising the Historic Sites Development of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), shows a print of the 11x14-inch photograph taken in 1868.

The photo was taken in Rizal's home town in Calamba, Laguna, Paraiso said. —LBG/BM, GMA News
