AFP destroys enemy weapons recovered during Marawi siege
President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday witnessed the Armed Forces of the Philippines' demilitarization of enemy weapons seized in Marawi City.
Using road roller vehicles, the AFP destroyed representative units of the 652 captured, confiscated, surrendered, and recovered enemy weapons that consisted of heavy machine gun, light machine gun, squad automatic weapon, rifle propelled grenade launcher, sniper rifles, M16 rifles, shotgun and airgun.

"The weapons were destroyed to ensure that these can be rendered ineffective for use as a component or a complete firearm," the Army Chief Public Affairs said in a press release.
