Duterte reappoints Customs deputy commissioner Nepomuceno
President Rodrigo Duterte has re-appointed Bureau of Customs Deputy Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, who earlier resigned after being accused by Sen. Panfilo Lacson of corruption.
Malacañang on Wednesday released Nepomuceno's appointment paper dated November 8. He replaced Ericson Alcovendaz.

Nepomuceno tendered his courtesy resignation when Customs Commissioner Lapeña took office in August.
Malacañang also released a new appointment paper for Deputy Commissioner Teddy Sandy Raval, although he was retained at the Customs along with Nepomuceno when Duterte took office in 2016.
Nepomuceno was the Enforcement Group deputy commissioner of former Customs commissioners John Sevilla and Alberto Lina, while Raval was the former Enforcement and Security Service director during the time of Lina.
Nepomuceno was earlier named by Lacson, in a privilege speech, as among those receiving bribes from unscrupulous shippers.
Other recent appointees to the Customs were Ricardo Quinto and Gladys Rosales, also as deputy commissioners. — MDM, GMA News
