Rescuers save 50 more survivors

Rescuers reportedly saved on Monday night some 50 survivors three days after the massive mudflow covered the whole village of Guisaugon, St. Bernard, Southern Leyte on Friday. Reports said that text messages from those trapped in thick mud hinted rescuers where to dig through, leading to the rescue of the survivors. Interior Undersecretary Marius Corpuz told 24-Oras TV news a number of survivors were rescued, but he was not clear on the exact number. GMANEW.TV
