Maasim mayor’s ‘green book’ contains drug transactions with Parojinog, Espinosa –PDEA chief
The "green book" seized from arrested Maasim, Sarangani Mayor Aniceto Lopez Jr. contains his drug transactions with slain mayors Reynaldo Parojinog and Roland Espinosa Sr., according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
"Doon sa green book naka-link doon si [convicted robbery gang leader Herbert] Colangco. May nakalagay pang amount na P150 million, and sina Parojinog, sina Espinosa," said PDEA director Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino in a report by GMA News' Raffy Tima on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho on Friday.
Parojinog of Ozamiz City was slain during a police raid on his property in July while Espinosa of Albuera, Leyte, was killed in detention in November last year. Both were on President Rodrigo Duterte's list of alleged "narco-politicians."
While Lopez was not on the list, Aquino said that does not mean he is clean.
"It doesn't mean na 'pag wala ka sa listahan ng Presidente, hindi ibig sabihin noon na hindi ka involved sa drugs," he said.
Lopez surrendered to Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday noon, hours after PDEA operatives raided his rest house where some P5 million worth of suspected shabu and a mini-shabu laboratory were seized.
Also recovered were one pack of suspected party drugs ‘ecstasy’, vials, two cal. 45 pistols, two M203 grenades, two fragmentation grenades, two rifle grenades and drug paraphernalia.
