Dorm security guard stabs, attempts to rape female resident

A security guard at a Sampaloc, Manila dormitory stabbed and attempted to rape a 19-year-old female student early Friday morning, GMA 7 late night news program "Saksi" reported.

The student, who was badly injured having been stabbed in the arm and neck, positively identified her attacker as 21-year-old guard Joshua Dale Perez.

"Naiwan yata nakabukas yung pinto, pumasok 'to. Pagpasok, tinakpan ng unan sa mukha, at rereypin niya sana," explained investigator Police Senior Inspector Pidencio Saballo Jr.

When the student tried to fight off her attacker, Perez then allegedly stabbed her.

Secuirty cameras also recorded Perez sneaking up the dormitory stairs at  1:13 a.m., and then sneaking back down, but now completely naked, at 1:37 a.m.

Perez, who was arrested during a follow-up police operation, admitted that he had attacked the student. "Pagbabayaran ko na lang po. Nagawa ko na po, eh. Pinagsisihan ko naman po," said the security guard.

Perez now faces frustrated murder and rape charges. — DVM, GMA News
