LOOK: Amid concerns over health, photos show Duterte doing paperwork, smiling
Presidential assistant Christopher “Bong” Go released on Thursday afternoon photos of President Rodrigo Duterte, amid concerns raised about the latter’s health.
One of the photos showed Duterte reading through one of the folders before him. Another showed him standing beside Go, smiling.
Go told GMA News Online the photos were taken at Bahay Pagbabago inside Malacañang grounds.

The President has been noticeably absent from the public eye this week, which began when he skipped the flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremonies at Rizal Park for the country’s 119th Independence Day on Monday.
This has raised some concerns over the state of his health, with opposition lawmakers asking for regular updates on this since it is a “national security issue.”
Malacañang officials have repeatedly assured the public that the President is fine as he spends “private time” this week. Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella on Thursday morning said the President is just “taking some time off to rejuvenate.”
Abella had noted that Duterte went through a “brutal” 23 days on the road, “fulfilling his martial law supervision.”
Abella, however, couldn’t give the exact date when Duterte will make his next public appearance, but reiterated that there is “nothing to worry about in terms of major sickness.” — RSJ, GMA News
