According to the tweet, they told reporters that "the end of war in Marawi City is near."

Recovered weapons, ammo, and comm devices were also presented in Camp Ranao.

As of June 6, a total of 134 Maute members, 39 government troops, and 20 civilians have been killed in the ongoing clashes between government troops and local terror group Maute in Marawi City.

The Maute group, which authorities say has professed allegiance to ISIS, attacked Marawi City as government forces were about to serve a warrant of arrest on Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon on May 23. Duterte has previously called Hapilon the "top honcho" of ISIS in the Philippines. —Jessica Bartolome/JST, GMA News
