University of San Carlos examinees top CPA boards

Two examinees from the University of San Carlos tied for the top spot in the board examinations for certified public accountants.

Tied for first place with identical 92.67 marks were Vianca Pearl Inot Amores and Marianito Jesis Berdin Del Rio.

The two topped the CPA boards just weeks after Karla Mae Calam topped the bar examinations in a year dominated by law schools based in the provinces.

The Professional Regulation Commission said 3,389 passed the examinations out of the 9,645 that took the examinations in eight major cities across the country earlier this month.

Four other USC bets made it to the top ten ranking.
