Last Friday, the Sandiganbayan granted Bong Revilla's request to visit his father who is scheduled to undergo a surgery Saturday.
Revilla Sr has been confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City due to “pneumonia and occult gastro-intestinal bleeding.”
Bong had asked the court to allow him to visit his father from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on March 18 (Saturday). But the anti-graft court’s First Division only granted him a 3-hour visit from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Revilla Jr. is facing plunder and graft charges for allegedly pocketing P224.5 million in kickbacks from channeling his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) allocations to bogus non-government organizations linked to businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.
He is currently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame. — LBG, GMA News
