Pacquiao meets with Kerwin Espinosa
Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday met with alleged Eastern Visayas drug lord Kerwin Espinosa hours after he was brought to the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame.
The meeting was confirmed by Atty. John Ungab, one of the lawyers of Espinosa, Super Radyo dzBB’s Rod Vega said in a report.
Espinosa requested to meet with Pacquiao before he arrived in the Philippines, saying that he trusts the senator because of his dedication and their shared Visayan roots, the report said.
Pacquiao and Espinosa talked for a few minutes, with the latter narrating how he got involved in illegal drug operations.
However, the report said Espinosa did not divulge any name to Pacquiao after his lawyers advised him to save these names for the affidavit they are preparing.
Espinosa arrived at the Ninoy Aquino Internatinal Airport before dawn on Friday after he was arrested in Abu Dhabi last month.
He is set to file an affidavit containing a list of names involved in illegal drug operations on Friday afternoon, the report said. —Erwin Colcol/KG, GMA News
