Plan your ride as new ‘coding’ scheme takes away window hours on these routes

Starting November 1, the "no-window" hours of the number coding scheme in Metro Manila will expand to at least 10 more major highways aimed at addressing the traffic congestion of the metropolis.

The Metro Manila Council -- the policy-making body of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority with the 17 mayors in the metro -- has approved to expand the policy in all circumferential and radial roads.

The council also approved to extend the vehicle volume reduction scheme from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., to 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
