Duterte’s families arrive separately in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte arrived at the Malacañan Palace on Thursday with his partner Honeylet Avanceña and youngest daughter, separately from his children with ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman.

This official photo from the Presidential Communications Operations Office showed Duterte arriving with partner Honeylet and their daughter, Veronica.

Duterte's children with his former wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman, arrived separately in Malacañang.

Duterte and Honeylet stayed in a hotel in Pasig City while Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and his siblings from the Zimmerman side stayed in a hotel in Parañaque.

Duterte, meanwhile, posed with Elizabeth and their children during the inauguration.

Before Duterte took his oath of office, his children, including Veronica, were seen together.

During the campaigns, Duterte had said that he was planning to name Inday Sara as his First Lady, but she begged off citing her responsibilities in Davao City.

Honeylet, a former nurse, had said that she is prepared to take on the role of First Lady.

She said that she would like to push the welfare of overseas Filipino workers and Filipino nurses if she becomes First Lady. —ALG, GMA News
