Dry run photos give preview of Duterte’s inauguration

Palace staffers have conducted a dry run of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's inauguration on Thursday, photos forwarded to the media showed.

The pictures showed staff standing in for Duterte and his children Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Vice Mayor Paulo Duterte, Sebastian Duterte, and Veronica or Kitty.

The photos were taken from Malacañang's Rizal Hall, where Duterte will take his oath of office.

Sara, Paulo and Sebastian are Duterte's children with his first wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Youngest daughter Kitty is his child with present partner Honeylet Avanceña. Kitty will hold the Bible when Duterte takes his oath.

Duterte is expected to arrive in Malacañang at 10:30 a.m. He will have a brief chat with outgoing President Benigno Aquino III at the President’s Hall Sala until 11 a.m.

After Aquino is given the departure honors, there will be a pre-oath taking ceremony program at the Rizal Hall.

At 11:45 a.m., Duterte will take his oath of office to be administered by Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes.

This will be followed by the mass oath-taking of Duterte’s Cabinet members.

At past 1 p.m., Duterte will be given full military honors.

He will then receive members of the diplomatic corps before holding his first Cabinet meeting at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room.
