Why Comelec chose Cebu for second leg of PiliPinas Debates 2016

CEBU City — Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Andres Bautista on Sunday said the city was the "obvious" choice for the Visayas leg of the PiliPinas Debates 2016.

"Being the Queen of the South, seemed an obvious choice," Bautista said when asked why the Comelec chose Cebu to host the second leg of the three-part presidential debates.

Bautista also cited the number of registered voters in Cebu province.

"Cebu province also happens to be the one with the most number of registered voters in the country," Bautista told GMA News Online in an interview over Facebook Live.
