PILIPINAS DEBATES 2016

Where does Rodrigo Duterte stand on issues?

Ever since he officially declared that he is running for president in December 2015, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte repeated countless times that his administration would be about maintaining peace and order.

If he is elected president, he promised to curb criminality and drugs in his first six months. If not, then he will resign from the presidency.

“If I become president, there is no such thing as bloodless cleansing,” he said at a presidential forum at the De La Salle University on January 20.

During the PiliPinas Debates 2016, he and the four other presidential candidates will present their views and plans as regards national policy directions, peace and order, national development, Charter change, and the situation in Mindanao.

Here are Duterte's views and plans on those points.
