Mike Enriquez is Adamson Media Awardee for 2016

Known for his spirit in becoming a voice for the poor and the marginalized through his program Imbestigador, and through his various programs in both television and radio, Mike Enriquez, GMA 7’s Consultant for Radio and President of RGMA Network Inc. is the recipient of the Adamson Media Award 2016.

Besting four other nominees from the different television stations, Enriquez, whose broadcasting career started in 1969 as a radio personality at the Manila Broadcasting Company, found his way to serve as part of the News team of GMA 7 in 1995. He served the station in numerous capacities as both television and radio personality.

From his programming besting the plights of people across all audiences, the Adamson University has conferred upon Enriquez the Adamson Media Award 2016 as the distinction focuses on the personality’s advocacies in poverty alleviation and education, and the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, the selection process started with the short listing of the names of media personalities from a survey conducted at the Partner Communities of Adamson University such as the North Bay Boulevard in Navotas City, Northville in Bulacan, and Southville communities in Laguna.

From this community survey, the top five personalities were named and had undergone selection from the Adamson University Community. Voting was participated in by the students, administrators, co-academic personnel, and priests assigned in the university.

The Adamson Media Award is on its 6th year of honoring media practitioners who share the same advocacies with the university. Past winners include Mr. Howie Severino (2011), Ms. Jesica Soho (2012), Ms. Kara David (2013), Mr. Lourd de Veyra (2014), and Ms. Vicky Morales (2015).
