VP Binay, Honasan visit miraculous shrine, observe Ash Wednesday in Laguna
SAN PEDRO, Laguna - Vice President Jejomar Binay, his running mate Senator Gringo Honasan, and other United Nationalist Alliance members observed Ash Wednesday amid their campaign sortie.
Binay and his companions visited the Shrine of Jesus in the Holy Sepulchre in Brgy. Landayan in front of the covered court where they held a program after a motorcade.

In keeping with Catholic tradition, they had ash put on their foreheads. The Shrine of the Holy Sepulchre which they visited is believed to be miraculous.

It was Binay who inaugurated the church two years ago.
"Alam mo ba, ako ang nag-inaugurate ng church na ito two years ago," Binay told reporters.
As of posting time, Binay and his slate are on their way to Biñan, Laguna.
San Pedro, Laguna has 167,000 registered voters while Laguna province has a voting population of 1.6 million. —KG, GMA News
