Japan’s First Lady Akie Abe visits Payatas

Japan's First Lady Akie Abe visited Payatas in Quezon City on the sidelines of activities for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' meet.

The First Lady – who accompanied her husband, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, to Manila for the summit – visited on Wednesday the Salt Payatas Foundation Philippines Inc., a Japanese non-government organization that has been providing scholarships and livelihood opportunities, particularly for women in the area, since 1995.

On its Facebook page, the NGO posted photos of Abe's visit, where the first lady was seen wearing a plain dark blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans.
