Schedule of Comelec satellite registration at malls

The Commission on Elections has launched its "Huling Hirit" initiative for the last two weeks of voters' registration, which includes 12-hour shifts for their local offices.

 

Also part of the strategy is for regional election officers to identify "key sites" that will host registrations. Among them are 108 malls nationwide.

 

Aside from new registrants, at least 3 million registered voters have yet to update their records with biometrics data, a report from GMA News Research said

 

Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said there is likely less than a million voters without or with incomplete biometrics data.

 

"Marami diyan, double registrants from before, namatay na, o nangibang bansa. Basically, you're looking at less than a million in terms of kailangang mag-validate," he explained.
