Kin, friends, fans remember late Fernando Poe Jr on his 76th birth anniversary
Kin, friends and fans of the late Filipino action king Fernando Poe Jr. gathered at his tomb in the North Cemetery in Manila on Thursday to commemorate his 76th birth anniversary.
A report on "News TV Live" said a Mass will be celebrated at his tomb in the cemetery.
Expected to be at the Eucharistic celebration are members of his family, friends and supporters.
Fondly called as "Da King" of Philippine movies, FPJ or Ronald Allan Kelley Poe in real life died on December 14, 2004. He was born on August 20, 1939.
Earlier, some supporters trooped to the North Cemetery bringing streamers and placards showing support for the late actors' adopted daughter Seantor Grace Poe, who is presumed to run for the presidency in the 2016 polls.

However, the senator, who has been leading in presidential prefernce surveys, has yet to decide on whether she would run for a higher post in the coming elections.
Meanwhile, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, supporters of Da King gathered at the late actor's monument to remember him on his 76th birth anniversay.
Da King's movie "Panday" has contributed to the promotion of Paoay as a tourist destination.— LBG, GMA News
