PNP gives self-protection tips to walkers


Keep a safe distance from motorists asking for directions. This was among the self-protection tips for walkers from the Philippine National Police's Police Community Relations Group.

"Be careful (in) giving directions to pedestrians or motorist.  Keep a safe distance to avoid getting grabbed or dragged into an automobile," the PCRG said.

On the other hand, those who sense people following them should "cross the street and/or change directions."

Meanwhile, those with purses were advised to carry their purses close to the body, not dangling by the straps.
