Ceiling of newly built TriNoma mall collapses

A portion of the ceiling of the newly built TriNoma Mall in North Avenue, Quezon City collapsed, radio dzBB reported shortly before 7 p.m., Saturday. DzBB said a portion of the building's overhead surface, which was about 20 meters long, fell on the second floor, near the entertainment area, where a band was supposed to perform for the night. Heavy rains that poured down the city may have something to do with the collapse of the ceiling, dzBB said, quoting initial investigation. No one was hurt in the incident, the report said. TriNoma (short for Triangle North of Makati) is owned by Ayala Land and is located just across Henry Sy's SM City. - GMANews
